Inka Wasi requires that every adult traveler over the age of 18 participating in one of our customized trips sign a Terms and Conditions document. Below is a summary of the key points of our Terms and Conditions (for the full text, please contact us at [email protected]).

RESERVATIONS

The client acknowledges that INKA WASI JOURNEYS acts as a travel agency and an intermediary and marketer of domestic and international tourism services, with the authority to contract and coordinate services provided by third parties—such as hotels, airlines, transport companies, tour operators, guides, restaurants, activity providers, and other travel-related suppliers.

INKA WASI JOURNEYS facilitates the booking and coordination of such services, as well as the sale of tour packages, excursions, transfers, accommodation, tickets, and other travel-related services, through its customer service channels, electronic media, digital platforms, website, and other authorized means.
The provision of each service is subject to the specific terms and conditions of the respective supplier, including policies regarding availability, modifications, cancellations, refunds, schedules, baggage, restrictions, and any other applicable conditions.

By making a reservation, submitting a payment, or contracting any of the services offered by INKA WASI JOURNEYS, the client declares that they have read, understood, and accepted these Terms and Conditions, as well as the specific conditions communicated for the contracted service.

All reservations for hotels, flights, archaeological site tickets, excursions, transfers, tour packages, and other services are subject to availability and the terms and conditions of the respective provider.
Reservations for hotels, flights, and tickets to certain archaeological sites may be non-refundable, depending on the terms set by the provider and the fare purchased.

Tour packages, transfers, guide services, and other services may be partially or fully refundable only when the specific terms of the contracted service allow for it.

To confirm a reservation, INKA WASI JOURNEYS may require an advance payment, a deposit, or full payment for the service. The required amount will depend on the destination, type of service, season, provider, and specific reservation conditions.

Deposits and payments made may be subject to penalties or non-refundable conditions in accordance with policies previously communicated to the client and the provider’s terms.

2.1. Tickets for archaeological sites and tourist attractions

Tickets purchased for archaeological sites, tourist attractions, events, or activities that are personal and/or issued to a specific individual (non-transferable) are subject to the conditions established by the managing entity or the respective provider.

When a ticket is issued to a specific individual and is non-transferable, name changes are not permitted unless the provider expressly allows such a modification.
The client is responsible for verifying that the information provided for the issuance of their tickets is correct.

The client is responsible for providing accurate, complete, and up-to-date information when booking tourism services.

To make any inquiries, modifications, or clarifications, or to file a claim regarding a booking, the client must present proof of purchase, a booking confirmation, an invoice, or another document identifying the contracted service.

The person who makes the booking and accepts these Terms and Conditions shall be considered the booking holder and is authorized to request information, modifications, or clarifications regarding the booking, unless the holder provides express authorization otherwise.
INKA WASI JOURNEYS may request additional documentation when necessary to manage a booking or address a client’s request.

The published or quoted prices correspond to the services specifically indicated in the description or itinerary of each product.
The rates informed to the client are valid during the period indicated in the quote and are subject to availability.
To guarantee a quoted rate, the client must make the requested deposit or payment within the period indicated by INKA WASI JOURNEYS.
While the corresponding payment has not been confirmed, the rate may vary due to changes in availability, supplier rates, season, exchange rate or other conditions beyond the agency’s control.
The prices do not include those concepts that have not been expressly detailed in the quote or itinerary.
Among others, they may not be included:

• Expenses for visa or entry permits to other countries.
• Expenses for processing or renewing passports.
• Personal tips.
• Personal consumption and expenses.
• Transfers or services not specified in the itinerary.
• Excess luggage.
• Additional services requested during the trip.
• Extraordinary expenses not expressly contemplated in the quote.
• Other concepts not indicated as included.

The applicable taxes will be informed according to the nature of the service, condition of the passenger and current regulations.

Prices are per person, unless expressly stated otherwise, and include only the services detailed in each product description.
A booking is considered confirmed only once INKA WASI JOURNEYS has received the corresponding payment and issued or sent the booking confirmation to the client.
A price quote alone does not constitute a definitive booking confirmation.
The booking confirmation will be sent once the deposit or the full amount due has been paid.
Upon receipt of the booking confirmation, the client must carefully review the following:
• Full names.
• Dates.
• Times.
• Destination.
• Included services.
• Accommodation type.
• Flight details, where applicable.
• Pick-up and drop-off points.
• Any other information stated in the confirmation.
The client has up to 48 hours from receipt of the confirmation to report any issues regarding the booking details.
Failure to report issues within this timeframe, or the commencement of the contracted services, may be deemed acceptance of the details listed in the booking, without prejudice to the consumer’s rights under applicable law.

It is the client’s responsibility to make the corresponding payments within the timeframes specified in the quote, reservation, or confirmation.
Failure to meet payment deadlines may result in the cancellation of the reservation, loss of availability, or the application of penalties, in accordance with the terms of the contracted service.
INKA WASI JOURNEYS will inform the client of the available payment methods at the time of booking.
Where applicable, any fees associated with specific payment methods will be communicated to the client in advance.
Bank transfers are subject to the conditions and financial institutions specified by INKA WASI JOURNEYS.

Any modification requested by the client shall be subject to:
• Availability.
• Supplier conditions.
• Current rates.
• Applicable penalties.
• Fare differences.
• Administrative fees, where applicable.
A modification request does not guarantee that the change can be made.
The client must request any modification through INKA WASI JOURNEYS’ official channels and await the corresponding confirmation before considering the change finalized.

Cancellation conditions depend on the type of service, package, destination, provider, and the rate booked.
Before making payment, the client must review the specific cancellation and refund terms applicable to their booking.

8.1. No-show

Failure by the client to appear at the date, time, and location established for the provision of a service will be considered a “no-show.”
Unless the provider’s specific terms state otherwise, a no-show may result in a penalty of up to 100% of the amount paid, with no right to a refund.

“Full Day” tours or excursions are defined as full-day trips lasting approximately one or two days, depending on the specific service description.
For Full Day tours—excluding those related to Machu Picchu or services subject to special conditions:

Cancellations

Cancellations requested by the client at least 48 hours prior to the scheduled departure time may be subject to an administrative fee of 10% of the tour price, provided the provider’s terms allow for a refund of the remaining balance.
Cancellations made outside this timeframe are subject to the provider’s cancellation policy and may result in additional penalties or the total loss of the amount paid.

Modifications

Modifications requested by the client must be made, whenever possible, at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled departure time.
All modifications are subject to availability and may result in price differences, penalties, or additional charges.

Special packages are defined as those involving destinations outside the departments of Lima, Arequipa, Puno, and/or Cusco, or those comprising itineraries longer than two days, as well as those subject to special conditions due to their specific characteristics.

Cancellations

Cancellations requested by the client at least 72 hours prior to the scheduled departure time may be subject to an administrative fee of 10% of the tour price, provided the provider’s specific terms allow for the corresponding refund.
Cancellations made outside the established timeframe will be subject to the provider’s policies and may incur additional penalties.

Modifications

Modification requests must be made, whenever possible, at least 48 hours prior to the scheduled departure time.
Modifications are subject to availability, price recalculation, and the provider’s terms and conditions.
Any price difference, penalty, or expense resulting from the modification will be communicated to the client before the change is confirmed.

Refunds will be issued only when applicable under the terms of the contracted service and the provider’s policies.
When a refund is warranted, INKA WASI JOURNEYS will process the return of the corresponding amount in accordance with the applicable terms.
In cases where a service cannot be provided due to reasons directly attributable to INKA WASI JOURNEYS, the company’s maximum financial liability regarding said service shall be the amount actually paid by the client for the affected service, unless applicable law establishes a different obligation.
Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing via INKA WASI JOURNEYS’ official communication channels.
Refund timeframes and conditions will depend on the specific service contracted.

11.1. Abandoning the tour

If a passenger voluntarily decides not to complete a tour or abandons the itinerary after the service has commenced, no refund will be issued for unused services, unless the provider expressly stipulates otherwise.
Any additional expenses arising from the voluntary abandonment of the tour—including transportation, accommodation, meals, rescue operations, evacuations, or other additional services—shall be borne by the passenger where applicable and if not included in the contracted services.

Any observations, issues, or complaints regarding the contracted services must be communicated to INKA WASI JOURNEYS in a timely manner to allow for them to be addressed and, whenever possible, resolved during the trip.
Post-trip complaints must be submitted in writing via the company’s official customer service channels.
To facilitate the assessment of the case, the client must provide their booking confirmation, relevant documentation, and a clear description of the issue.
Complaints must be submitted within the timeframes established by applicable law and/or the specific terms and conditions of the contracted service.

For packages that include accommodation, the reservation is subject to the terms and conditions of the respective hotel.
If, due to availability issues attributable to the accommodation provider, the initially selected hotel cannot be confirmed or retained, it may be replaced by another establishment of similar category and characteristics, whenever possible.
The client will be notified of any significant changes.
Check-in and check-out times are determined by each establishment.
Room availability is subject to the hotel’s specific schedules and conditions.
If the client wishes to check in earlier than the scheduled time or extend their stay beyond the check-out time, they must make the request directly to the establishment and cover any applicable additional charges.
Accommodation services are also governed by the specific policies and conditions of the contracted establishment.

It is the passenger’s responsibility to possess all necessary documentation for the trip.
Depending on the destination, this documentation may include:
• Identity document.
• Valid passport.
• Visas.
• Entry permits.
• Certificates required by authorities.
• Immigration documentation.
• Other documents required by the destination country, airline, operator, or competent authority.
INKA WASI JOURNEYS may provide general guidance regarding requirements communicated by the relevant providers or authorities; however, it is the passenger’s responsibility to verify that their documentation is valid and sufficient for the trip.
Any issues arising from incomplete, expired, incorrect, or insufficient documentation shall be the passenger’s responsibility, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

INKA WASI JOURNEYS shall not be liable for failures to perform, delays, modifications, or cancellations caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control.
Such circumstances may include, but are not limited to:
• Natural disasters.
• Earthquakes.
• Floods.
• Hurricanes or cyclones.
• Adverse weather conditions.
• Strikes or labor disputes.
• Government restrictions.
• Road closures.
• Security issues.
• Pandemics or quarantines.
• Failures by third-party providers.
• Flight cancellations or modifications.
• Airline restrictions.
• Carrier operational issues.
• Other circumstances constituting *force majeure* or unforeseeable events.
In such cases, modifications, rescheduling, cancellations, and refunds shall be subject, as applicable, to the policies of the service provider responsible for the service.
Where possible, INKA WASI JOURNEYS will provide assistance in coordinating available alternatives.

When a service is provided directly by a third party—such as an airline, hotel, carrier, tour operator, guide, restaurant, or other provider—that service shall be subject to the terms and policies of the respective provider.
INKA WASI JOURNEYS will carry out the appropriate actions within the scope of its role as an agency and/or intermediary.
Direct responsibility for the provision of a service shall lie with the provider responsible for executing it, without prejudice to the legal obligations incumbent upon INKA WASI JOURNEYS as a travel agency.

INKA WASI JOURNEYS recommends that all passengers purchase travel insurance suited to the specifics of their itinerary.
It is strongly recommended that the insurance policy cover the following, depending on the passenger’s needs:
• Medical care.
• Accidents.
• Cancellations.
• Delays.
• Lost or delayed luggage.
• Evacuation.
• Travel assistance.
• Other relevant coverage.
For adventure activities, trekking, high-altitude hiking, or other activities involving physical risks or specific geographical conditions, it is recommended to hold a policy that specifically includes medical coverage, evacuation, and assistance compatible with the booked activity.
Passengers should review the exclusions, limits, and conditions of their policy before commencing their trip.
Individuals with pre-existing medical conditions should consult a healthcare professional before engaging in activities that may involve physical exertion or exposure to specific geographical conditions.

The passenger acknowledges that certain tourism activities may take place at high altitudes, on uneven terrain, in variable weather conditions, or in other environments involving risks inherent to the activity.
The passenger must follow the instructions provided by the guides, operators, and those in charge of each activity.

Failure to comply with safety instructions may limit the ability to continue with certain activities if a risk to the passenger or third parties arises.

By making a booking, submitting a payment, or contracting a service with INKA WASI JOURNEYS, the client declares that they have had the opportunity to review these Terms and Conditions and accepts the conditions applicable to the contracted service.
Any specific conditions stated in the quote, booking confirmation, voucher, itinerary, or equivalent document shall form part of the agreement and may supplement these Terms and Conditions.
In the event that the service provider has specific conditions, these shall apply insofar as they relate to the service in question.

INKA WASI JOURNEYS may update these Terms and Conditions when necessary to reflect changes in its services, procedures, or legal requirements.
The conditions applicable to a booking shall be those communicated to and accepted by the client at the time of contracting the service, without prejudice to any modifications required by law or supplier conditions.
